Our cycling caps: a fashionable statement off the bike too

David and his Espress O cap

Carolle and I started Red Dots Cycling with the mantra... to create well made, functional cycling caps for all cyclists. Our cycling caps have evolved from functional to cleverly stylish. A fashionable accessory we are happy to embrace. We know that a few of our customers wear our caps, purposely, out on errands and even chopping wood in the winter. We like that.

My newest favorite, the Urbane Rider, is by far the cap I use more off the bike than on. That's me, recently enjoying a coffee in Steveston at a popular cafe frequented by cyclists. That day I wasn't a cyclist, enjoying a coffee along with the stylish Urbane Rider cap. And special thanks to David from the UK for his cool self portrait with his Espress O cap.

Stylish/functional when you're on the bike - protecting you from the sun's rays, inclement weather and keeping your head warm... and stylishly functional off the bike, too.

King Dutch cycling cap
photos Red Dots Cycling

This Sunday is the Amstel Gold Race and we have the cycling cap to honor all the great Dutch riders and their most important race of the season. It's orange linen/cotton (lightweight, breathable & comfortable) with a blue under brim, Dutch tricolor accent and unique embroidered crown... go King Dutch!

Update: we are currently working on more Medium/large caps... more on their way very soon.

Keeping it classic and simple

Tempo
photo Red Dots Cycling

A common goal when designing our caps is to keep it classic and simple. Our Urbane Rider, Tempo, Cappello Nero and L'enfer du Nord are examples that don't really scream out as the typical cycling cap; no bold colors or racy stripes. We know some of our customers don't want to look like they are heading out for a race, preferring to have a cap that blends in the background. Our caps are handmade   with quality construction using quality fabrics such as linen/cotton and wool. I prefer to wear my Urbane Rider out riding and also wear it on errands or just hanging out. In fact, today I returned from shopping with it. I, like many of our customers, prefer to keep it classic and simple.

Our classic caps here.
